General Childcare Information
Hours and Holidays
Building Blocks Childcare & Development Center, located in Rincon, Georgia is open Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. twelve (12) months a year. The daycare center will be closed the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and additional days for cleaning and staff training. You can view the list of holidays on our website and they will posted at the daycare center as well. You will be required to pay regular weekly tuition for all holidays.
Attendance/Acceptance
Building Blocks Learning Center is open to all children between the ages of four (4) weeks and twelve (12) years old. Children with special needs are accepted if we can meet the needs of the child and family.
Class begins at 9:00 a.m. for the three (3) and four (4) year olds, please have them there by that time so they won’t miss what the class is learning in order to progress to the next level.
The cut off time for dropping your child off is 9:30 AM without noted reason for late drop-off. Please do not bring your children after 9:30 AM, unless approved by management, due to scheduling of our teachers breaks.
Absences
We request that if your child will be absent from the childcare center to please notify us as soon as possible. Absent without notification for more than three (3) days may result in being dropped from the daycare program.
Late Pick-Up
We understand that sometimes due to circumstances beyond your control, i.e., traffic, etc., you may be unable to pick up your child by 6:30 PM. If this happens, please contact our office immediately. If we have not been contacted by 6:40 PM, we will call the emergency number on file in your child’s records.
Late pick-ups will result in late charges in the amount of $1.00 per minute after 6:30 PM, if not notified prior to your arrival.
Severe Weather & Emergencies
While we make every effort to remain open during inclement weather or other natural disasters, this may not always be possible. In the event the school has to be closed due to inclement weather or other emergencies, we will notify the local television and radio stations if we are closing and post it as an alert on our website. In case of severe weather, we expect the parents/guardian to pick-up their child. Any children remaining at the childcare center will be kept indoors as far away from the windows as possible.
